Reenactment Festival
A major Willowshore feast and festival held on the final day of spring. Townsfolk stage a false ghost attack: selected residents are abducted by masked ‘ghosts,’ while others pretend to panic, mourn, search, and rescue.
The performance is meant to convince real spirits that Willowshore has already been haunted so they will move elsewhere. The abductees spend the night in a forest clearing and are traditionally ‘ransomed’ with breakfast at dawn.
The campaign begins the next morning, when the PCs wake to find that Choe Chung-hu and the promised breakfast have not arrived.
