20.09.2026
- Week downtime
- Yue Zhen falls face first in the dust trying to clean up the teahouse.
- Zhang crit succeeds and expands the Eternal Lantern by 2 hexes
- Huli performs for money: Success
- Hyoga earns money: Success
- Sharp Quill finds the map to the Lumber Camp. Two main entrances.
- A secret passage for lumber lord and guard if something went wrong
- Letter sting operation plan is go
- Huli gives a letter to Matsuki
- Huli gives a letter to Granny Hu, who clearly knows whats going on and plays along, letting people hear where she is hiding this “secret” letter.
- Hyoga recruits the Kappa
- We take positions
- Huli pretends to be Mo Douqui
- Kim Gu-won comes in, he’s a faceless, he killed the real Kim about a month ago.
- “Weren’t there supposed to be two of you?” Huli asks “Not unless Muguro sent anyone”
- The plan of the Faceless takes place in a couple of weeks, when Muguro needs a few of the villagers for the “ritual”.
- Muguro thinks she is the daughter of this “Kugaptee” thing or whatever. Which means it is a creature/person/god.
- There’s another faceless somewhere dressed as the governor.
- We take the faceless prisoner and bring him to Granny to be interrogated. Is truth drugged.
- This faceless doesn’t remember anything from more than a month ago.
- Chief Zodo is the boss of this faceless
- Priestess Muguro and almost “bandit” like Zodo
- Muguro wants to kidnap certain people, and Zodo just wants to conquer.
- Those “certain” people were apparently specifically Huli and Karro… They needed them for the ritual??
- The one “dressed as the governor” is the only one who remembers more than before the attack on willowshore.
- He said “remember the past, be ready”
- Muguro has a book of notes on the barrier to the west Wall of Ghosts and wishes to break through.
- She thinks summoning the “avatar” would help her to accomplish this.
- Kim was running out of the village when his face was taken.
- Theory: The faceless at the Lumber Camp seem to mirror what is happening in Willowshore aka two leaders at each others throats. One is “religious”, the other pragmatic.
- This faceless doesn’t seem to have any innate hatred or ill will towards the village. Are some of the faceless also possible victims?
- Muguro believes that the faceless were created by Kugaptee
- We do a test. Huli asks the faceless to take his face. As this happens, Huli cannot breathe. Suggesting that what ultimately kills the victims of the faceless is asphyxiation.
- Faceless succumbs to the drugs and falls unconscious. Probably incapacitated for a long time, possibly weeks.
- We decide to not kill it and instead have Granny bring it to the barracks to be imprisoned.
