The Great Willow
An immense ancient willow on the lowest of the Trimountains. Zhi Hui befriended its kodama kami, which helped guide her toward the sugi grove where the Tan Sugi Monastery was later built.
Old Matsuki asked us to give it an offering. Zhang knew that it wanted Shimenawa (twisted rope that you hang decoratively)
We talked to the spirit of the willow.
Told us that this fog is because we have apparently moved, but not physically. Possibly Planeshift style. LEGALLY DISTINCT!
The Great Willow also marked on our map the edges of the fog.
